Taking a look at when the 2017 Champions League Final will be played to decide the winner of one of the most prestigious trophies in Europe

By design, the UEFA Champions League is one of the most thrilling cup tournaments in Europe. When you take the best-finishing clubs from around the continent and pit them against on another, it makes sense that would be the result. And this year has delivered another magnificent tournament, from the group stage all the way leading up the 2017 Champions League final.

Throughout the tournament, there has been a wild level of unpredictability. From Barcelona coming back from a seemingly insurmountable aggregate deficit against PSG to Monaco’s thrilling run to Bayern Munich’s lackluster quarterfinal, it’s been a magnificent run throughout.

Ultimately, though, only four clubs were left with the chance to advance to the 2017 Champions League final. On one side, the Madrid Derby was set for a UCL appearance with Real Madrid (the defending champions) facing off with Atletico Madrid. Opposite that matchup, Juventus was set before the aforementioned Monaco side.

In the first legs of each matchup, though, both Real Madrid and Juventus took strong command of the fixture. The former went up 3-0 on aggregate over their city rivals, while the latter went up 2-0 over the young upstarts from Monaco. Thus, it seems as if the 2017 Champions League Final will feature two European giants facing off in Real Madrid and Juventus — barring a miracle, of course.

Regardless of if that’s the matchup or not, though, the final should be quite thrilling. All four clubs have proven worthy of an appearance at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Because of that, fans have to be eagerly anticipating the match. So when will the 2017 Champions League final be played?
