The NBA playoffs continue with one game each on Monday and Tuesday night for usage in DFS fantasy basketball competitions. Get your team in the game with FanSided’s FanDuel daily picks.
The NBA had three games on Sunday, which meant that only one game could go on Monday without it being a back-to-back. The Warriors will make their bid at a sweep of the Jazz at 9:00 p.m. ET on Monday night. The second game on this schedule is on Tuesday, and pits the Rockets at the Spurs at 8:00 p.m. ET. With such a short slate of games, there will be a lot of player overlap across teams. However, there is still value to be had and ways to separate your team from the competition.
Kevin Durant seems to be healthy enough to be re-staking his claim as the primary fantasy point producer for the Warriors. This is great for him but seemingly harmful to the output of both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and questionably harmful to the production of Draymond Green. Meanwhile, in Utah, the question is whether George Hill (Q, toe) will be able to play after two missed games. Rudy Gobert put on a show in Game 3, and both he and Gordon Hayward will be called upon to produce for the Jazz to have a chance to extend the series.
In San Antonio, a very different series picks up on Tuesday with things tied 2–2. Both teams have won on the other’s home court this series, which means that Game 5 could go either way. James Harden has had back-to-back strong games, supported by players like Trevor Ariza, Patrick Beverley, Clint Capela and Eric Gordon. Meanwhile, the Spurs have been clearly led by Kawhi Leonard, and in the wake of the Tony Parker injury, will need to get good production from Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge to hold serve at home.
My favorite plays of the day can be found on the following slides in FanSided’s FanDuel daily picks. Each day in order to offer a variety of price points at each position, you can find two slides for each position: one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each pick is ranked on a scale of 1-5 stars to indicate the confidence in the pick. The final slide of this post has more detail on what each level means, but in short, more stars means more confidence in the selection on a points-per-dollar basis.
Important note: every day the goal of this post is not to give you a copy-and-paste lineup. Instead, each selection is given while highlighting the factors you need to consider when building a customized lineup for yourself. If you want to see an example lineup, you can find it on the final slide of the post, but I suggest you adjust your lineup to fit your personal taste.
To keep up with all of FanSided’s DFS NBA coverage head over to the fantasy basketball hub where each day you can find a post like this tailored for FanDuel as well as one specifically designed for usage on DraftKings. In this post, all salary and “fantasy points” references are to FanDuel’s scoring system and salaries.
