Detroit TigersĀ manager Brad Ausmus indicated he may name a new closer, here’s a look at potential adds for those chasing saves in fantasy.

Detroit Tigers veteran closer Francisco Rodriguez, or K-Rod as he has come to be known, has gotten off to a dreadfulĀ start to the season. Despite his seven saves, his ERA sits at an unsightly 8.49 at the moment. He has blown four saves overall and has caused more harm than good for his fantasy owners.

After Detroit’s loss on Sunday, their manager Brad Ausmus said the team will discuss their closer situation on Monday.

Don’t go dropping Rodriguez just yet, but here are a few options on the Tigers for those in dire need of saves, and their currentĀ ESPNĀ league ownership percentages:

Justin Wilson (17.74% owned)

Justin Wilson is by far the Tigers most talented relief pitcher and has been used as their set-up man. He has a shiny 1.32 ERA, and has struck out 22 batters in only 13.2 innings pitched. There is a chance the Tigers could keep him in his current role, or use him in high-leverage situations, which may not always result in a save.

Alex Wilson (1.1 % owned)

Alex Wilson could be another option for the Tigers. He has posted a 2.25 ERA and 8 strikeouts in 12 innings so far. Not as dominant as Justin Wilson, but good nonetheless if the Tigers decide to keep Justin Wilson in his current role.

Shane Greene (0.2% owned)

Shane Greene is the dark horse candidate in this situation. He has a sparkling 1.46 ERA, and has struck out 13 batters in 12.1 innings pitched. He has struggled in the past as a reliever but has been dominant so far this season.

Justin Wilson is worth an add right now, while the other two are on a wait and see approach until Ausmus makes a final decision.
