The star wide receiver changed New York teams for the 2017 NFL season, and will retire after his two-year deal with the Giants is up.

Brandon Marshall is a six-time Pro Bowler, and in 2017, he will play his second-to-last NFL season with the New York Giants. The former New York Jet stated recently that after his two-year contract with the Giants is up, he will in fact retire. The 33-year old Marshall joins a wide receiving corps that will feature Odell Beckham Jr., and Sterling Shepard, giving quarterback Eli Manning a plethora of weapons at that position.

While one wide receiver is nearing the end of his career, for one other, his career is just getting started. Cincinnati Bengals first-round draft pick John Ross signed his rookie deal this weekend and will team with A.J. Green to give quarterback Andy Dalton some serious speed on the outside. Ross set the NFL Scouting Combine record with a 4.22 40-yard dash prior to the draft, cementing his place in the first round.

Patrick Mahomes II showed off his arm this weekend, as the first round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs participated in the three-day rookie camp. Mahomes struggled with his accuracy, missing a ton of targets, but you could see the arm strength that made the Chiefs trade up 17 spots in the first round to get him. The Chiefs are a favorite to make a deep run in the AFC this season, but for Mahomes, it will be a year of learning behind starter Alex Smith.

The Buffalo Bills axed general manager Doug Whaley just hours after the 2017 NFL Draft, ending his four-year term with the team. On Sunday, the team interviewed Trey Brown, who is currently the Director of College Scouting for the Philadelphia Eagles. The 32-year old Brown is the third person to interview for the job with the Bills, who will also head into the 2017 NFL season with a first-year head coach in Sean McDermott.

Finally, it looks like Jay Cutler’s move to the broadcast booth will be a permanent one. Speaking on WMVP-AM’s The Waddle and Silvy Show in Chicago, Cutler stated that he is done playing, and his focus is now on his broadcasting career. The former Bears quarterback will be a part of a three-man team for FOX this season, joining Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis. His first game will be on Aug. 27, when his Bears take on the Tennessee Titans.
