Philadelphia Flyers help Reddit user troll his friend
The Philadelphia Flyers helped a fan troll one of his friends and a FanSided blogger.
Trolling is becoming a very popular hobby recently. Most of the time, it’s done to promote negativity or annoy people. But sometimes, trolling can have a positive outcome. Recently, a Philadelphia Flyers fan decided to troll his friend who writes for Broad Street Buzz, FanSided’s Flyers blog. The fan even had his own fake website “Broad Street Buzz Buzz” to talk about his friend’s articles. He would annoy his friend about his articles constantly. This went on for over a year.
To try to take the trolling to a new level, the fan got in touch with the Flyers and told them about the situation. What they did is something no one could have expected.
"I reached out to the Flyers organization explained my story, fully expecting to be met with silence in return… Not ten minutes after I sent my email, I received a response. “Just let us know what you’d like us to do”. After a few days of communication and a bit of negotiation, we reached an agreement and a Flyers 50th anniversary puck signed by his favorite player, Shayne Gostisbehere, was in my possession."
Eventually, the fan reached out to his friend and gave him the autographed puck. The Philadelphia Flyers might have had a terrible season on the ice, but off of it, they’re clearly winning. It’s incredible they’d play along with such an elaborate joke. The fan might have had malicious intentions when he started trolling his friend, but the Flyers helped him turn it into something positive.

When his friend got the puck, he said, “This is the nicest thing anybody has ever done for me and you did it just to be a dick”. It wouldn’t have been the nicest thing anybody has ever done for him without the help of the Flyers.
