3. Shawn Kemp over Alton Lister

There’s simply no way Shawn Kemp would get away with this post-dunk celebration in today’s NBA. Absolutely no way. He would receive a technical foul and maybe even a hefty fine, but in 1992, it was perfectly acceptable.

When the Seattle Supersonics (known today as the Oklahoma City Thunder… unfortunately*) met up with the Warriors in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Kemp gave viewers one of the most disrespectful post-dunk celebrations in history.

Unlike other celebrations, viewers on both sides of the spectrum could not help but to simply laugh at Kemp

Kemp secured a wild pass near the 3-point line and drove into the paint, tucking the ball in his arm as a running back would. He blew past two defenders before completely disregarding Alton Lister and slamming it home.

As Kemp landed on his feet, he honed in on Lister and let the world know what had just taken place.

The Sonics power forward pointed at Lister with both hands, alternating between hands as if firing two pistols as he wheeled away in celebration.

Kemp’s celebration, albeit funny, capped off one of the most vicious plays of the past.
