As the second round of the NBA playoffs slogs on, a breath of fresh air is needed. For Fastbreak Breakfast, that jolt of energy is the entertaining Zach Harper (@talkhoops). Zach covers the NBA for FanRagSports.com and also appears regularly on ESPN’s The Basketball Analogy, formerly known as the TrueHoop TV podcast. So while the Cavaliers and Warriors race seemingly unimpeded to a Finals showdown, we focus on perhaps a bigger issue:
Wouldn’t Kawhi Leonard be insanely more popular in the public’s eye if he celebrated blocks, steals and game-winning shots with the theatrics of Russell Westbrook or [especially] Dion Waiters?
UNEQUIVOCALLY YES. So what will it take to break his stoicism and get him jumping up and down on the scorer’s table, furiously fist-pumping the air? Or to start cussing out opposing players and mascots? The answer might be held in the exploits of fictional, [mildly] reluctant assassin John Wick.
