The Buffalo Bills found their new general manager on Tuesday, as they signed former Carolina Panthers executive Brandon Beane to a new five-year deal.

Well that did not take long. The Buffalo Bills will have a new general manager for the 2017 NFL season, as they signed former Carolina Panthers executive Brandon Beane to a five-year deal. Beane had spent the previous 19 years with the Panthers, working his way all the way up to assistant general manager. Beane will be replacing Doug Whaley, who was fired right after the 2017 NFL Draft along with all of his scouts.

From one current general manager to a former one, as Scot McCloughan finally spoke out about his departure from the Washington Redskins. McCloughan was fired by the team this offseason despite doing a wonderful job in building the Redskins roster back up the past few years. Despite the rough ending to the relationship, McCloughan has no ill will against the franchise and is not bitter over the way he was let go.

Peyton Manning was a legend during his time with the Indianapolis Colts, and the team is going to make sure he is immortalized in team history. The Colts will not only retire Manning’s No. 18 but also will place him in their Ring of Honor. The biggest honor may be outside of the stadium, however, as the team plans to erect a big statue of the man who led them to two Super Bowls, including one win during his 13 years with the team.

Michael Vick was one of the more polarizing players in the NFL during his career, and he now has started to weigh in on current issues with the league. Vick recently told NJ.com that it is going to be a rough season for the New York Jets, laughing as he said “good luck.” The former Pro Bowl quarterback also spoke with the news outlet about rookie running back Joe Mixon, saying he hoped he would be humbled and is getting a chance to be an example for kids.

Finally, the Aaron Hernandez saga took another turn on Tuesday, as his murder conviction in the Odin Lloyd case was vacated. Due to the fact that Hernandez died with the case still in appeals, it is as if he was never found guilty of the crime. While this is absolutely devastating to Lloyd’s family, it also means the New England Patriots may be on the hook to pay Hernandez’s family, which includes his four-year old daughter.
