Carm and Kayla go on the road to interview World Series hero Kyle Schwarber
Can we just do the basketball watching world a favor and get on with the NBA finals? Come on Adam Silver, make it happen! Does anyone really need to see San Antonio or Houston try meekly to push Golden State? Or, whoever survives Boston and Washington get slaughtered by the Cavs? NBA fans are ready for the showdown. Worst case scenario someone gets hurt and we don’t get Golden State or Cleveland at their best. That would be a shame.
Off the court, it was nice to hear that Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant spoke with Durant apparently reaching out to Westbrook to congratulate him on his spectacular triple-double historic season. Think Westbrook will call KD if the Warriors win it all? Doubt it.
Also off the court, hard to believe the Kristaps Porzingis twitter hacking story at 2AM. Sorry, but if I was smart enough to hack into someone’s twitter I wouldn’t do it to send out some emojis expressing my love for the Los Angeles Clippers. Smells fishy, Mr. Porzingis. PS, we are not mad that you might just want to leave New York for the California dream. Phil Jackson may follow you out there.
It’s not everyday we get to talk to a World Series champion. Kyle Schwarber was nice enough to do so. Schwarber and the Cubs have been off to a slow start, but are still in a good spot considering no one is running away with the National League Central. Schwarber has been working with MLB and Sheraton on their “Go Beyond” campaign recognizing teachers, parents, coaches or just that special person who helped them reach their amazing career heights.
Tony Romo is getting ready to enter the CBS NFL broadcast booth by nearly qualifying for golf’s US Open. Romo is simply better at life than 99.9 percent of us.
