UFC middleweight Uriah Hall Has “unfinished business” with Anderson Silva and calls him out to “make fight happen for the fans.”
With no one to dance with for UFC 212, UFC legend and former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (34-8-0, 1 NC) made a push for an interim title match against No. 1 middleweight contender Yoel Romero. UFC president Dana White shot that idea down.
Displeased with the decision, Anderson announced via his Instagram Live account he was taking himself off the card completely. Kelvin Gastelum was supposed to face the Spider in Rio De Janeiro but unfortunately for Kelvin, marijuana is still prohibited during competition and he got a 90 day suspension for testing positive in Brazil.
In steps Uriah Hall.
@SpiderAnderson let's make a fight happen for the fans. we have unfinished business....

Uriah tweeted he and Silva had “unfinished business” and wanted to “make a fight happen for the fans.” The unfinished business he was referring to was UFC 198 when the Spider had a date to meet with Hall in the octagon but was pulled just four days from the fight. According to the reports by Yahoo Sports, Anderson was suffering from pain in his abdomen and was taken to the hospital. Doctors had diagnosed him with acute cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder) and decided he needed emergency surgery. UFC officials offered to find Uriah a replacement but he decided not to take on a new opponent so close to the event .
Prior to UFC 198, Uriah had lost by unanimous decision to Robbert Whittaker at UFC 193 and things didn’t get much better for Hall after that either. Losing by TKO (punches) in the first round to both Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Johnson in Hidalgo, Texas and in a rematch against Gegard Moussasi at UFC Fight Night: Mousasi vs. Hall 2 in the beautiful city of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Reaching the dreaded three losses in a row mark, a win versus Silva might be the boost the former TUF runner-up needs to rejuvenate his career and get back to the highlight real finishes he once provided. For us, the fans, this too may be a treat as both fighters can finish fights at any moment with a spinning whatever or front kick to the face.
As of now, Anderson Silva hasn’t responded to Uriah’s request and by the looks of his Instagram account, he’s happy helping a friend reach his dream and not fighting at the moment.
