Manchester City face Leicester at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, May 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Pep Guardiola will finish without a trophy for the first time in his managerial career, but can salvage the season by finishing in the top four. With only three matches left to play, City sit three points clear of Arsenal in fifth and four clear of Manchester United in sixth place. Guardiola will want to win the last three to ensure Champions League safety. They face Leicester, West Brom and Watford, with Leicester up first. In the first match between these two clubs, the defending champions had the upper hand, cruising to a 4-2 victory. City will want to get revenge on the early season loss and help push them to a top four finish.
Leicester have been a completely different team under caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare. The week that Claudio Ranieri was replaced, Leicester was one point above relegation. Today, they are in ninth place in the table and nine points above relegation, having only lost two matches in the last 10. Shakespeare reverted back to what worked last season, playing better defense and hitting teams on the break. It has resulted in a nine spot jump in the table and safety from relegation. Jamie Vardy leads the club in goals with 12, while Robert Huth and Kasper Schmeichel have been holding down the defense.
