The fourth season of The Originals continues on Friday night with episode 8, “Voodoo in My Blood.” Here are the details on how to watch online.
The Originals and The Vampire Diaries may take place in the same universe, but time jumps on both shows in the past couple of seasons have made crossovers pretty hard to pull off. Even with TVD now over, this season of The Originals will only feature one major crossover.
This week, Alaric Saltzman is making the trip from Mystic Falls to New Orleans to aid in the fight against The Hollow. Last episode, it was revealed that the Lockwoods were tasked with guarding one of the all important bones belonging to The Hollow.
In the timeline of The Originals, Tyler Lockwood has been dead for a couple years already. So the Mikaelsons contact Alaric to search the Lockwood Estate for the bone. In addition to finding the bone, Alaric finds other information about The Hollow and who is guarding her bones. Reluctantly. Alaric has agreed to meet with Klaus to hand off the information.
Klaus will be a little busy meeting the ancestors with Hayley, so Alaric will be meeting with Elijah and Marcel. At some point during the episode, it is likely Alaric will end up having a conversation with Klaus about what he is doing with Caroline in Mystic Falls. After all, the seres finale of The Vampire Diaries showed Caroline receiving a letter and a big donation from Klaus for the school for supernaturally gifted children.
In the voiceover, Alaric stated that this letter was just the start of a new story for a later time. With The Originals officially renewed for a fifth season, there is a chance Caroline and Klaus’ story could be explored in season 5.
But first, there is a fourth season to complete and The Hollow to defeat. Here are all the details on how to watch season 4, episode 8 of The Originals, both on TV and online:
