Tom Brady went all-in taunting the Madden Curse gods
Tom Brady is the cover athlete for Madden 17. He’s welcome to the challenge from the Madden Curse gods.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is arguably the most popular player in the NFL. At the very least, he’s certainly generates the most attention. Whether you love or hate Brady, you can’t deny he’s the NFL’s brightest star. Recently, he got named as the Madden 17 cover athlete. With this great responsibility comes a great risk – the infamous Madden Curse. Brady challenged the gods of the Madden Curse in an epic Facebook video.
Recently, the curse seems to have weakened over time. Madden’s last five cover athletes are Calvin Johnson, Adrian Peterson, Richard Sherman, Odell Beckham Jr. and Rob Gronkowski. Only one of them got injured (Gronk). But because his injury is the most recent of cover athletes and it just happened last year, maybe Brady needs to tell the gods who control such things to bring it on. If anyone can stop them, it’s Tom Terrific.
Brady is coming off one of his most impressive seasons despite missing the first four games due to suspension. His regular season numbers are on par with his career, but his numbers in the playoffs were incredible. Brady’s finale included the most epic Super Bowl comeback of all-time. It puts him above every quarterback ever because it’s his fifth championship. Not even Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana won five Super Bowls. Brady’s victory puts him at the all-time great level.

Even after winning their fifth title with the greatest quarterback ever, the Patriots aren’t done. They’re clearly gearing up for yet another Super Bowl run to try to tie the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowls as a franchise. And don’t bet against Touchdown Tom and the Patriots from achieving that goal.
