1. Boston Celtics

This should not surprise anyone, as the Celtics still remain the favorite to land Anthony this off season. The trade talks could reportedly pick up steam between these teams as we approach the off-season. They not only have the best assets to offer the Knicks, but Anthony also fills a major void that the Celtics have.

The Celtics could use a major upgrade at the power forward position, and with Anthony’s ability to be a stretch-four, he could fit right in. Boston could offer some type of a combination of young players including Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, and James Young.

If they don’t want to give up any of those guys, they also potentially hold what could be the number one pick in the upcoming NBA draft. The Knicks should be salivating at the potential opportunity of acquiring that pick, or a few of those players, and it would certainly help their chances of competing sans Anthony.

Although Boston has a solid roster that is still currently competing in the NBA playoffs, they still don’t pose much of a threat to the might Cavaliers. Acquiring Anthony and pairing him next to rising superstar Isaiah Thomas, and solid big man Al Horford, will certainly make them more intimidating to Cleveland.

Anthony would certainly waive his no-trade clause, as he would have a great opportunity at chasing a ring, and the core players of the Celtics are young enough to be able to compete for many years to come.
