The Anaheim Ducks look to even their series with the Nashville Predators at home in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday, May 14.

The Nashville Predators stole the opening game of the Western Conference Finals when James Neal scored in overtime. The Anaheim Ducks will look to even the series in game 2, on Sunday night.

The big difference in game 1, was the number of shots Nashville took. The Predators outshot the Ducks 46-29. Defenseman Ryan Ellis led the team with seven shots as he continues to be one of the best players in the playoffs. Ellis has nine points in 11 playoff games for Nashville and is averaging over 24 minutes of ice time. P.K. Subban, Ellis, Mattias Ekholm and Roman Josi have been the best defensive unit in the playoffs and have made life easier for goalie Pekka Rinne.

John Gibson has been shaky at times during the playoffs. However, in game 1, he had one of his better games. The Ducks will need a repeat performance if they are going to win game 2. Getzlaf, Rickard Rakell, and Corey Perry all need to be better for Anaheim. The trio combined for over 72 minutes of ice time but could just manage seven shots. Despite playing more than 25 minutes, Perry did not record a shot on goal. If the Ducks are going to tie the series they need their top scorers to produce.
