The San Antonio Spurs are currently facing the Golden State Warriors, in which the Spurs at one point held a 25-point first-half lead. Here are some Twitter reactions.

The San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors are currently playing Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. The series match-up has been much ballyhooed; the two teams both emphasize fundamentals, high-quality offense and defense.

But as of now, it appears only the Spurs have an interest in being the complete team today. In the first half, the Spurs once held a 44-19 lead on the Warriors.

Yes, you read that right; they had a 44-19, 25 point lead on the Warriors. Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge we’re on fire on the offensive end, while the switching on defense by Leonard and the rest of the Spurs confused Golden State. Twitter, of course, reacted appropriately.

Finally,  a non-Michael Jordan crying face for starters.

A shot at Mike Brown’s coaching pedigree is only right on this occasion.

Michael Wilbon is just blown away at the quality of basketball the Spurs is playing. I’m sure we all can picture him saying this tweet.

The Spurs currently are up on the Warriors 62-42 at the end of the first half. This turnover/shooting percentage stat tells the story, though.

Ouch.

The Warriors aren’t a team that shoots sub-par from the floor, but we as basketball fans would be naive to think this trend will continue. Not sure if it will change in the second half, but it will be surprising if their shooting woes aren’t fixed by the next game.

Leonard has most recently been ruled out by the Spurs and the Warriors are closing the gap in the third quarter. The game could still be the Spurs for the taking, but we can never count out the Warriors.
