Once Upon a Time reaches the end of an era with the season 6 finale, “The Final Battle Part 1 and 2.” Here’s what you need to know to watch OUAT on TV and online.

It’s hard to tell which storyline was bigger this week: reviews from Once Upon a Time’s musical wedding, Jennifer Morrison’s exit announcement, or ABC’s surprise renewal of the show, breathing life into a seventh season after most of the cast has made it clear they won’t be returning. It was all three of those stories making headlines this week.

Before we can get to the big news about season 7, we need to get through the supersized season finale of Once Upon a Time. It’s time for Emma to face the Black Fairy in the Final Battle.

Here’s the episode synopsis from ABC:

"Henry awakens to a cursed Storybrooke; the Heroes are trapped in a crumbling Fairy Tale Land."

With news of another season compounded by news of so many members of the cast departing, there are a lot of questions surrounding what will happen with the finale. It would seem that some stories will be wrapped up while others will be adapted for whatever lies ahead with the show. Lana Parilla, Colin O’Donoghue, and Robert Carlyle have not made any announcements about leaving the show, but with the plan of a reboot comes uncertainty for their characters. Will they carry on as usual, or will the Storybrooke story be rewritten?
