Chelsea wrapped up the title with a 1-0 win at West Brom on Friday night. They may not have anything to play for here, but they’ll want to put on a show in their triumphant homecoming in front of their own fans.
Aside from an unexpected defeat to Crystal Palace at the start of April, no visiting side has left Stamford Bridge with so much as a point since September. It seems hugely unlikely that the visiting Hornets will buck that trend here.
Watford are stumbling towards the end of the season. Since they reached the 40 point mark, which is the point at which teams believe they are safe from relegation, they have lost all four matches they have played without scoring.
They still have an incentive to get a result here though. They can still potentially finish in the top half of the table, which is not something they’ve achieved too often.
Their manager, Walter Mazzarri, will be particularly keen for them to end the season well. None of the previous five Watford managers have held the post for longer than a year, and he may join that list if the Hornets end the season poorly.
