Is it time for Lucifer fans to meet Lucifer’s father? That might be the case on the May 15 episode of Lucifer, “God Johnson.”

Here’s the episode synopsis for “God Johnson”:

"Lucifer struggles with his feelings when he realizes the prime suspect of a murder at an insane asylum might be his father."

Though we have yet to meet Lucifer’s father, God has been a big part of the show from the very first moment when Lucifer called in a favor to save Chloe’s life. With Charlotte trying to bring the family back to the Silver City, is it possible that God has decided to take a little trip to Earth to visit the wife and kids?

In “God Johnson,” the “God” in question happens to be a patient in a mental hospital who is also the main subject in a murder investigation. The man claims to be God Himself, and he sure does know a lot about Lucifer. Is this dumb luck, a strange coincidence, or is it real?

Since the three-part story back in January, Lucifer has been struggling with his identity. He learned that none of his lovers have real feelings about him, and then he found out that his father might have orchestrated his relationship with Chloe. He had to learn to control his emotions in order to ignite Azrael’s blade, and now a man claiming to be his father shows up. That’s a lot for Lucifer to deal with at the same time, so how will he react to this man named God Johnson?
