Tuesday is the season finale of NBC‘s Chicago Fire, and the show is sending off its fifth season with some help from a pair of superstars. Chicago Cubs players Kris Bryant and Jake Arrieta will appear in the episode as themselves.
Season 5, episode 22 is called “My Miracle” and features Bryant, Arrieta and NBC Sports anchor Mike Tirico in cameo appearances alongside the character of firefighter Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg). The Cubs and Tirico lend Herrmann a hand when he’s trying to help a boy who has lost his baseball card collection in a fire.
Meanwhile, it wouldn’t be Chicago Fire without drama, so the rest of Firehouse 51 has a huge warehouse fire to deal with. The one thing they don’t have to worry about is their future, since NBC has renewed the series for season 6.

"A dangerous warehouse fire puts truck and squad at risk. Tensions are high for Dawson and Casey when Dawson’s father overstays his welcome at their home. Meanwhile, Casey continues to fight for his first responders bill, Mouch makes a serious decision regarding his future and Herrmann goes to tremendous lengths to make a young boy smile."
