After splitting the first two games, the Anaheim Ducks travel to Nashville to face the Predators in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday, May 16.

The Anaheim Ducks bounced back in Game 2 to defeat the Nashville Predators, 5-3. Despite going down 2-0 earlier in the first period, the Ducks were able to come from behind and win.

Pekka Rinne had his first poor game in net in the playoffs. Rinne had been fantastic throughout the first two rounds and Game 1 of the playoffs. Nashville needs Rinne to be on top of his game if they are going to win Game 3.

After scoring 31 goals and 61 points in the regular season, Viktor Arvidsson went cold in the playoffs. Prior to Game 2, Arvidsson had scored only one point in his last seven playoff games. In that game, Arvidsson recorded a goal and an assist. If Nashville is going to advance to the Stanley Cup Final they need Arvidsson to deliver in the offensive zone.

After going pointless in Game 1, Ducks’ captain Ryan Getzlaf bounced back in Game 2. Getzlaf recorded three assists in Anaheim’s win. As long as Getzlaf stays hot, the Ducks will be tough to stop. For the second straight game, Corey Perry was held without a shot on goal. Anaheim needs Perry to start being a threat offensively.

Anaheim center Ryan Kessler has the unenviable job of shutting down the opposing team’s top line. Through the first two games, Predators center Ryan Johansen has four points, including two in the first ten minutes of Game 2. However, Kessler was great down the stretch, winning 14 of 22 faceoffs in the game preventing Nashville from getting possession of the puck and tying the game late in the third period.
