Penguins vs. Senators live stream, Game 3: TV schedule, online and more
By Adam Stocker
After winning Game 2, the Pittsburgh Penguins travel to Ottawa to face the Senators in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday, May 17.
After losing Game 1 in overtime the Pittsburgh Penguins scored the only goal in Game 2 to even their series with the Ottawa Senators. In Game 2, the Penguins significantly outplayed Ottawa, but could not beat Craig Anderson until Phil Kessel scored with less than seven minutes remaining.
If Pittsburgh continues to play like they did on Sunday, the goals will eventually come and the series will be short. Pittsburgh won 61.7 percent of the faceoffs, outhit Ottawa 50-36 and took six more shots. It is only a matter of time before Sidney Crosby rediscovers his offensive touch.
For Ottawa to win the series they need goalie Anderson to continue to stand on his head. In the past three games, Anderson has allowed only four goals, posting a .958 save percentage. However, it will not matter how good Anderson is in net if the Senators can not score a few goals. Mike Hoffman, Kyle Turris, and Mark Stone were the Senators’ three highest scoring forwards in the regular season. However, the trio has only combined for 20 points in the playoffs.

The Penguins need to score first and force Ottawa to open up the game. The Senators are playing a very defensive system. If Pittsburgh scores first they will force Ottawa to open up and put more bodies forward. If Ottawa is forced to go forward, it will open up more space for Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
