Twitter was rough on the Pittsburgh Penguins after they fell behind 4-0 early to the Ottawa Senators in Game 3.

The Pittsburgh Penguins entered the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs as the clear favorites to win. However, the Ottawa Senators made it obvious in Game 1 they weren’t going to go down easy. After the two teams split the first two games in Pittsburgh, the Senators got out to a strong start in Ottawa during Game 3, jumping out to an early 4-0 lead.

Their huge start got Marc-Andre Fleury pulled from the game and Matt Murray inserted in. Only time will tell if Pittsburgh will go with the latter or the former moving forward. However, it won’t matter who they start in goal if they can’t stop Ottawa from scoring.

Once again, the Sens are dominating a team people thought would dominate them. It’s been that kind of postseason for Ottawa. So far, this series has been a low scoring one, with four combined goals scored in the first four games. However, the Sens have already scored four games early in Game 3.

Pittsburgh has a lot of adjustments to make if they hope to win Game 3. Heck, the Penguins have to make some changes to recover and win the series at this point. Ottawa’s on a roll right now and it’s hard to see them stopping. If Pittsburgh doesn’t stop this soon, they could find themselves down 3-1 in the series leaving Canada.

Obviously, Twitter didn’t go easy on the Penguins. They got flat out roasted all over social media. And deservedly so. Here are some of the best reactions from Ottawa’s beatdown on Pittsburgh.

So far, Game 3 has been all Ottawa. Pittsburgh has to respond or they’ll find themselves in an undesirable hole.
