Vince Wilfork is an expert on three things: football, denim overalls and barbecue. His latest ad spot for Kingsford charcoal is utterly amazing.

There is only one Vince Wilfork. He has been one of the most athletic big men in NFL history. Wilfork has played 11 NFL seasons (2004-16), most recently with the Houston Texans at defensive tackle.

He is a five-time Pro Bowler, a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots and an an All-Pro in 2012. However, today he is promoting Kingsford charcoal like the champion he is. Wilfork is rocking his signature denim overalls and teaching all a thing or five about how to cook barbecue ribs.

Those denim overalls over that 325-pound frame make Wilfork look like he is wearing a men’s romper. However, don’t tell Wilfork that. Have you seen him step up to the plate in J.J. Watt’s celebrity softball game in all denim? It’s like he’s Robert Redford in The Natural, but in denim.

Wilfork tackles the importance of how to and how to not make delicious ribs using Kingsford charcoal. He has better dance moves in his overalls than anybody you’ve ever met. Why would you not want to dance like Wilfork because he’s literally getting paid to promote barbecued ribs in denim overalls for money?

Wilfork is technically a free agent and may actually be contemplating retirement from the NFL. Through 11 seasons, Wilfork is a near Hall of Fame level player. His prime with the Patriots was undeniable, but may have only lasted about four years. Wilfork’s two-year stint with Texans has been successful, but only yielded on playoff win for him in 2016.

Even if Wilfork doesn’t play another down of football professionally, we need to hold out hope that he’ll be appearing in more softball games at Minute Park Park to support Watt’s charity or at the very least keep doing these spots for Kingsford charcoal because this first one is simply amazing.
