Morgan State, 4

Roosevelt Brown, OL

Rosey Brown was a 27th (!) round draft pick out of Morgan State, selected No. 321 overall in the 1953 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. A true diamond in the rough, Brown played his entire 13-year pro career with the Giants, winning an NFL Championship in 1956 and earning Pro Bowl honors nine times, as well as All-Pro honors six times. A member of the NFL 1950s All-Decade Team, Brown was also named to the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Len Ford, DL

Len Ford attended Morgan State but left for the U.S. Navy before eventually landing at Michigan. In 11 NFL seasons, Ford was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and All-Pro, earning the honors in each season from 1951-54, and won three NFL Championships with the Browns. He was named to the NFL 1960s All-Decade team as a defensive end.

Leroy Kelly, RB

Leroy Kelly gained more than 1,000 rushing yards in three consecutive seasons from 1966-68, twice leading the league in rushing yardage and topping the league leaderboard in rushing touchdowns all three years. A six-time Pro Bowl Selection and three-time All-Pro, Kelly also helped the Browns win the 1964 NFL title.

Willie Lanier, LB

Like Brown, Willie Lanier was selected for the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time team. An eight-time All-Pro, six-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time All-AFL performer, Lanier helped the Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl IV. After 11 seasons in Kansas City, the Chiefs retired Lanier’s No. 63 jersey.
