After winning Game 3 with a late goal, the Nashville Predators look to extend their series lead on the Anaheim Ducks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

The Nashville Predators required a late goal to beat the Anaheim Ducks, but they significantly outplayed the Ducks for 60 minutes. Anaheim opened the scoring late in the second period when Corey Perry scored on the power-play. However, the Predators were able to launch a comeback with Flipp Forsberg scoring less than four minutes into the third period. With just another three minutes left, Roman Josi scored the game winner on the power-play.

In Game 3, Nashville controlled possession and dictated the style of play. The Predators won 55.6 percent of faceoffs, out hit Anaheim 32-24 and doubled the Ducks in shots 40-20. Throughout the series, Nashville has controlled the play while at even strength.

Anaheim needs to better while at even strength. Center Ryan Kesler was the Ducks second-leading scorer in the regular season but in the playoff, he is being asked to shut down the opponent’s top center. However, Kesler needs to be more productive offensively in addition to his defensive responsibilities. In the playoffs, Kesler has only one goal and seven assists. If the Ducks are going to win Game 4, they need Kesler to have a great game at both ends of the ice.

If Nashville continues to outplay Anaheim at even strength they should beat the Ducks in Game 4. Anaheim can not afford to go down 3-1 in the series. The Ducks are unlikely to win three of four games if they lose a Game 4.
