7. Current President of the United States Donald Trump buys Monday Night RAW; 2009

Regardless of how you feel about Donald Trump and his political views and stances, his time with WWE on a couple separate occasions is stranger than him actually being the 45th President of the United States.

I mean, the guy “purchased” Monday Night RAW that one time in 2009.

Yes, the current POTUS and the leader of the free world owned RAW as a part of a storyline eight years ago. Why? To this day, nobody cares or has a clue as to why. The McMahon family are good friends with Trump and that goes back to the days of hosting WrestleMania IV and V in Trump Plaza during the 1980s.

Still, can anyone explain why Trump “owned” Monday Night RAW for one night only? What was the actual purpose of doing this? (You can ask that about a lot in wrestling, but this one honestly had no purpose at all.)

This isn’t even the most memorable thing Trump did during his time with WWE. As the representative for Bobby Lashley in the infamous Battle of the Billionaires match at WrestleMania 23 two years prior, Trump had that famous takedown of McMahon at ringside and then helped his man and Stone Cold Steve Austin shave The Boss’s head bald.
