The 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race will add a new winner to a list of great drivers since the event began in 1985.

The NASCAR season always takes a pivotal turn during this two-week stretch of the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway. While things get back to business next week at the Coca-Cola 600, there is still a ton on the line this weekend. On Saturday, the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race will take place and it’s a chance for a drive to take home $1 million and bragging rights.

Ever since the event began in 1985, the segmented race has been all about pride and the chance to outlast the other drivers for a chance to win a lot of money. Unlike other All-Star events, there is now slowing down or taking it easy at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Everyone wants to take home the money and get some momentum heading into the Coca-Cola 600. Several NASCAR legends have won this event and have some have done it multiple times. Jimmie Johnson has won the event four times, which is the most of any driver in the history of the race.

In 2016, Joey Logano was able to win the final segment and earn himself the cash. In 2017, Logano and others will once again race for the victory and a chance to join an elite list. Here is a complete list of all the previous NASCAR All-Star Race winners.
