The 2017 Preakness Stakes will be held on Saturday, May 20. Here’s an updated look at the Vegas lines for each horse of the field.

Betting on horse racing has become a national pastime for Americans. People love to bet on the Triple Crown races. Some do it to try to make some money. Others do it just so they can say they bet on a Triple Crown winner. Whatever the reason, Vegas makes a lot of money around this time of the year. They’ll be making, even more, cash on Saturday, May 20 thanks to the 2017 Preakness Stakes.

Here’s a quick look at the Vegas lines for each horse of the field as the Preakness is set to begin on Saturday.

It should come as no surprise Always Dreaming is the clear favorite to win. He dominated at the Kentucky Derby and has one of the best jockeys in the world riding him. Always Dreaming won at Churchill Downs despite far from ideal track conditions. Classic Empire had a less than stellar showing at the Kentucky Derby, but he’s still one of the best horses in the field.

Gunnevera has surprisingly bad odds. Sure, he was awful at Churchill Downs, but he has an impressive career earnings mark of over $1 million and has placed in 70 percent of his career races. That’s not bad.

However, Always Dreaming’s biggest competition might come from the newcomers. Cloud Computing is fresh and he has an elite jockey riding him. This could add up to an upset on Saturday.
