Marshawn Lynch is the NBA player you just want to recreate with. If you weren’t in Oakland yesterday, you may have missed your chance.
Marshawn Lynch is back in the NFL, and we’re all better off for it. One of the most engaging personalities in the league, Lynch came out of retirement this spring to sign with his hometown Oakland Raiders.
Lynch will be a fan favorite even before he suits up for his first game, but inviting the town to come along with him on a bike ride is only going to help his legend grow. Also, check out the bling on Lynch’s custom wheels.

The invitation worked and Lynch and his entourage of cycling enthusiasts held an impromptu parade through town.

According to SFGate.com, somewhere between 300 and 400 riders showed up to keep Lynch company.
"SFGATE producer Katie Dowd witnessed the exuberant affair and reported that Lynch rode at the front, holding on the driver’s side window of a white van as he peddled. Approximately 300 to 400 riders trailed behind with four or five cop cars holding up the rear, their lights flashing."
Lynch is a national treasure and reliably endless source of joy. It remains to be seen what he can offer on the football field this season, but what he offers off of it is sure to be an absolute delight.

Here’s hoping Lynch’s impromptu ride becomes a yearly event. Maybe some themed costumes for the riders? Music and a few food trucks at the end? Get a couple corporate sponsors (Skittles, you in?) and we might really have something here.
