Tonight, Dancing With the Stars fans will learn the winner of season 24, be it Normani Kordei, David Ross, or Rashad Jennings.
Dancing With the Stars might not have saved the best for last, depending on your opinion of the freestyles. The press release details all the performances we’ll see tonight:
- Special dances from both the female and male pros on the show
- A Dirty Dancing preview
- More from Dancing With the Stars‘ “Hot Summer Nights” tour
- OneRepublic
- Hailee Steinfeld
Last night, unsurprisingly, the judges awarded each of the three finalists perfect 40s for their freestyles. The only differences came in the redemption round. First place went to Rashad Jennings with a full 80 points; Normani Kordei had just two points fewer. Finally, David Ross had 73 out of 80 on the night.
The only place the two trailing celebrities can play catch-up is in the 24-hour Fusion Round. As we noted in the above-linked recap, we don’t have many details about which styles each of the professionals will have to mash together for their celebrity partners. But expect them to be quite different. Last season, the three finalists had to tackle either an Argentine tango foxtrot, a quickstep jive, or a Viennese waltz foxtrot. Hopefully, the judges don’t repeat any of these dances. It would just be boring.
Now to get to the actual details. Note the special starting time, and also note that this finale will be going later than episodes of Dancing With the Stars usually go — until 11 p.m. ET. As always, Dancing will probably wait until the very end to actually reveal who wins.
