It has been an up and down NFL career for Reggie Bush, who would like to still compete heading into his 12th season in the league.

Heading into the 2006 NFL Draft, Reggie Bush was thought of by many as the consensus first overall pick. However, the Houston Texans decided to go with Mario Williams, as Bush fell to the New Orleans Saints at No. 2. Twelve years later, Bush is still trying to warrant a roster spot, and while he may be 32-years old, he still feels he has some gas left in the tank and a lot left to prove.

Bucs’ plans for tight end O.J. Howard

From one former first round pick to another, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed the No. 19 overall selection on Monday. Tight end O.J. Howard was widely considered as the best prospect at his position in the draft class, so it was no surprise when the Bucs came calling within the first 20 picks. Howard is an explosive player, and while he was not showcased in the offense at Alabama, star quarterback Jameis Winston is sure to look for him often in 2017.

Jets waive Devin Smith

The New York Jets made Devin Smith their second round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, though since then, he has struggled to stay on the field. After a decent rookie season, that saw him tear his ACL in December, Smith never fully recovered. During Phase One of the Jets offseason workouts, Smith tore his ACL again, and the team decided to waive him on Monday. He finished the 2016 season with one catch for 20 yards.

Bengals might drop a running back

During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Joe Mixon from Oklahoma in the second round. Mixon, who was a controversial pick due to him hitting a woman during his time with the Sooners, will join a crowded backfield that includes Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill. Bernard is expected to be limited in OTAs, but if he does come back healthy, he may actually push Hill off the depth chart.

Colin Kaepernick still unemployed

For some reason, Colin Kaepernick still does not have a job, even in a league that recently saw the likes of Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Fitzpatrick signed to deals in recent weeks. Kevin Livingston, the President of 100 suits for 100 men, has formed an organization to back Kaepernick, a demonstration that will take place at the NFL Headquarters in New York City on Wednesday. Kaepernick donated 50 suits to Livingston’s cause earlier in the year, and based on his athletic talents, there is no way he should not have a job at this point.
