According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE could be looking to install a Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match at the SmackDown Live-specific Money in the Bank pay-per-view next month.

The Money in the Bank Ladder match is one of the best matches of the entire year for WWE.

Thankfully, for the women of the SmackDown Live roster, they could be getting their own version of the match very soon.

According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE is looking to put a Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match on the Money in the Bank pay-per-view card for SmackDown Live next month to go along with the original Money in the Bank Ladder match already slated to be on the card.

There’s been no further details released about the potential match, including details on the briefcase, the participants and the stipulations for the winner if there’s a briefcase involved, which … you can’t have a Money in the Bank Ladder match without the briefcase.

Despite a lack of information on the situation as of now, this is big for the blue brand and WWE as a whole. Over the past few years, women performers and fans of both genders have been so vocal about the women getting more than five minutes a night on television. (Hell, they almost didn’t come on at WrestleMania 33 because of time restrictions.)

This is awesome news for the ladies not just on SmackDown Live, but RAW as well. Women’s wrestling is on the right track and it’s become bigger with each passing day. They’ve come a long way since their usual nights of a four-minute tag team matches that featured close to no wrestling involved.

A potential opportunity like this for the ladies is deserved and if the report is true about the match taking place next month, the MITB pay-per-view just got even better than it already was.
