North Carolina Tar Heel big man Tony Bradley will reportedly remain in the 2017 NBA Draft, and will hire an agent.

Freshman Tony Bradley will keep his name entered in the 2017 NBA Draft, after there was some speculation that he may return to school at North Carolina. League sources confirmed the news to The Vertical early this morning.

Bradley did not have a particularly large role on the Tar Heel’s 2017 NCAA Championship team, but he was effective in those limited minutes. Bradley averaged 7.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in only 14.6 minutes per game. With his size at 6-foot-10, he was able to make his presence felt in the post on both sides of the ball.

With a few of North Carolina’s key big men either graduating or entering the NBA Draft themselves, Bradley was projected to have a sizable role on their team next season as they looked to defend their title. Although Bradley possesses intriguing upside and has the size to play at the next level, many believed he would benefit from returning to North Carolina for at least one more season.

According to Bradley himself, he has reportedly been projected to get drafted between the later part of the first round, or the early part of the second round. If this holds, it will be pretty impressive for Bradley considering he is entering what many perceive to be as a very deep draft loaded with exceptional talent. One can imagine that Bradley may have been able to get drafted higher if he received more playing time to showcase his talents.
