9. The Ickey Shuffle

The last time the Cincinnati Bengals played in a Super Bowl, they had some magical running back beast named Ickey Woods. With Woods came a dance that changed everything. Don’t tell me that you never tried to do this Ickey Shuffle, especially after you get the finest cold cuts Kroger has to offer.

Woods would do three steps to the left, hold the football out, three steps to the right, hold the football out, then three slight hops and then spiked the you know what out of that football. It was move that big dudes like Woods could do. If you whipped the imaginary lasso around your head, then you were really doing the Ickey Shuffle.

It was a premeditated, well-orchestrated touchdown celebration. The Ickey Shuffle was synonymous with the Bengals’ 1988 Super Bowl run. Woods found pay dirt a lot in his rookie season out of UNLV. The problem though is that he got hurt in his sophomore season and never really recovered as a professional.

Over time, the Ickey Shuffle became one of the go-to touchdown celebrations of intramural sports and flag football championships across this great world of ours. Ever since Woods graced us with the Ickey Shuffle, Cincinnati has been the touchdown celebration capital of the football universe. Without Woods, do we even have an Ochocinco?
