No. 7: Bucky of Wisconsin

Name of Show: The Hidden Life of Bucky

Network: TBS

Voiceover By: George Clooney

Badgers are tricky to read. Most of the time, they’re living a secret life underneath shelter. What if, though, one badger wanted to tell his story? Nothing would be more satisfying than following a badger around to get his side of the story. It’d end up being a 24/7 operation, since most badgers don’t sleep, so insomnia better be a hobby of George Clooney’s, who would be the voice of Bucky in The Hidden Life of Bucky.

As the face of the University of Wisconsin, Bucky comes off rather fearless. Not much bothers him and his real-life brethren act the same way. In fact, that’s a known trait of badgers — they’re naturally camera shy. Badgers are also infamous for not giving a rat’s derriere about what’s happening about them to the point it seems like selflessness. Those are two things Bucky would have to overcome, if this TV series is to work out.

Then again, the unknown is what would make The Hidden Life of Bucky a hit. Who knows? Bucky could favor a box of wine and a wheel of cheese on a Friday night, while watching reruns of Friends. Or, he may just prefer a series of naps after walking around the neighborhood full of other dwellers.

Since badgers are nonchalant for a majority of the time, The Hidden Life of Bucky may not last very long on TV. Clooney could be the reason to stick around and give Bucky some life. Then again, Mel Blanc made something out of a bunny, so anything’s possible in the animated animal kingdom.
