Victor Cruz has spent his entire NFL career with the New York Giants, but he will call the Windy City home for the 2017 season.
The New York Giants are slated to be one of the better teams in the NFL next season, though one of their veterans will be donning a different jersey. Victor Cruz, who aside from Odell Beckham Jr. is the most notable Giants wide receiver in recent memory, will join the Chicago Bears on a one-year deal. The 30-year old Cruz has had to battle injuries the past few seasons, but he should be a nice addition after the team lost Alshon Jeffery to free agency this offseason.
Staying with the New York Giants, Odell Beckham Jr. is still missing from OTAs. Throughout his fantastic young career, OBJ has emerged as the most exciting wideout in the NFL, though he has battled immaturity issues during his time with the Giants. You would expect a guy who was pretty much blamed for the Giants quick exit from the playoffs to be ready to go with his teammates during OTAs, but he is the only player missing from the workouts.
Joining Beckham Jr. at wide receiver for the Giants this season will be Brandon Marshall, who signed a two-year deal with the team this offseason, basically making Cruz expendable. Marshall played with the New York Jets last season and has been insulted by former teammate Sheldon Richardson recently. Marshall addressed that drama on Thursday, stating that he had some run-ins with the defensive tackle, but is moving on.
For the first time in his illustrious NFL career, Adrian Peterson will be carrying the rock for an organization not named the Minnesota Vikings. Peterson was let go by the organization this offseason and was signed by the New Orleans Saints as a compliment to running back Mark Ingram. However, Peterson looked very good during the team’s first workout on Thursday and may play a larger role if his knees hold up.

Finally, it looks like John Elway is pretty confident that he will get a new deal done by Week 1 of this season. The Denver Broncos executive vice president and general manager is still waiting on a contract extension, but it appears both sides want it to happen. Elway moved into his front office role in 2011, leading the Broncos to a win in Super Bowl 50 over the Carolina Panthers.
