9. Albert Gator

Puns are a great way to make sure a mascot is one of the best. Albert Gator along with Alberta Gator make up two of the best mascots in college and certainly have an argument to be the best in the SEC.

Albert has become famous over the years for his antics during game and this alligator has a ferocious bite too if anyone crosses him the wrong way. Taking down any fan boat that crosses him the wrong way, Albert is a legend in his own right.

He also wears a hat and quite frankly, how many other animals can say that they wear hats? Do you see Big Al rocking a Crimson Tide snapback with his bros in Tuscaloosa after the game each week?

Throw in Alberta Gator and Florida has the unique ability to say that they have a duo of mascots. He’s got the always classic wide abdomen and his Florida sweater looks like it makes just about every September game miserable for the person inside.

The job isn’t meant to be an easy one and the greats all have to endure the pain of sweating out 10 pounds per game. Albert can go back and cool off in the swampy marshes when the Gators are done chomping on their opponents anyway.
