8. Bucky Badger

Where’s Wald…Bucky? Yes, it’s hard to miss Bucky Badger from anywhere with his striped sweater and giant badger head. The mascot for the Wisconsin Badgers has seen it all and his sweater makes him of the most recognized in sports.

Not only is he a friendly, inviting badger, but he also wears the sweetest kicks. How many badgers do you see running out with the latest kicks on their feet? That alone catapults Bucky straight up the list despite his goofy sweater.

While this list is an objective one if that’s even possible when it comes to mascots, it also takes into account certain things. If Bucky Badger comes out wearing an awesome pair of shoes, then he’s going to get boosted up a bit.

If there has been one constant to this list of 30 mascots, it’s that the Big Ten is well represented across the boards. Both in the East and in the West Division. The Wisconsin Badgers have long been the powerhouse out west and have plenty to show for it.

Bucky looks hilarious with his badger head on a human body and that’s his big selling point as a mascot. His shoes have been mentioned to death already as well. So has the Waldo sweater too. Those three things combine for a pretty great mascot.
