25. Hey Reb!

Let’s just get this out of the way right off the bat — if you have an exclamation point in your name, you’re likely going to be one of the goofiest mascots in all of college athletics. UNLV has Hey Reb! as their mascot and this rebel certainly fits the bill.

With a giant head and a name with punctuation seen from a candidate in the last election cycle, Hey Reb! certainly stands out as a mascot in college sports. He’s just the type of mascot that fits the Las Vegas market perfectly.

First look at the way he just rolls out onto the field riding shotgun. That’s a mascot that is certainly going places with his endeavors. Then, of course, there’s the floppy hat that certainly has to be one of the largest ever worn by a mascot.

If all of that and the exclamation point wasn’t enough here to suit anyone’s style, the Hey Reb! has the added bonus of having one of the best mustaches. Facial hair can make or break the best college mascots, but this rebel does it his way.

It’s gone through name changes over the years and eventually, this was the name they landed on. It certainly gets points for being unique and different from the rest. It’s still also entirely strange and one of the goofiest.
