The Raiders have sold out their 2017 season tickets, despite their impending move to Las Vegas.

The Raiders have accomplished a rare feat for a franchise preparing to move to a new city — they sold out their season tickets in the city they jilted.

According to Matier & Ross of the San Francisco Chronicle, season tickets for Raiders games in the upcoming 2017 season have been sold out. This is a feat that really can’t be glossed over, as it was probably a foregone conclusion to many the Silver & Black would be playing in front of a half-empty Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum before they move to their shiny new digs in Sin City.

It sure seemed like that would be the case given the reactions among fans when it was announced the Raiders would be moving to Las Vegas. But Raiders fans are true diehards, and despite mass calls for Oakland fans to boycott the team, Raider Nation will be showing up to the Coliseum in force.

Those Raider fans have reason to show up to the Coliseum for the 2017 season. The Silver & Black are firmly established as a playoff team, with hometown legend Marshawn Lynch running through
a mother——face” through opposing defensive lines and Derek Carr directing an offense that was one of the best in the league before he went down before the start of the playoffs last season.

The Raiders defense will be one of the best in the NFL this upcoming season as well, lead by quarterback-eater Khalil Mack. When you look at the team the Raiders will field next season, you will understand why Oakland fans are still going to show up to support their beloved Silver & Black.

Oakland fans could have gone the boycott route as so many other fanbases who have lost their teams have done, but Raider fans will be Raider fans no matter where the team plays, and that makes them one of the best fanbases in the history of sports.
