The season 2 finale of Lucifer is suddenly upon us and Lucifer and his family have everything they need to return to the Silver City. But there’s also a dead body in Charlotte’s office, and she would be the prime suspect in the murder, which is why Lucifer decides he must hide all of the evidence from Chloe.

Now Lucifer will be in-between his family wanting to return to Heaven and his partner, who might not trust him after this.

Here’s the episode synopsis for “The Good, the Bad and the Crispy”:

"After Charlotte accidentally charbroils a man to death in self-defense, Lucifer tries to hide it from Chloe; Maze goes looking for Charlotte and Amenadiel; Lucifer tries to find a permanent solution for the ticking time bomb he calls Mom."

Lucifer might not have to worry about their return to Heaven if not for the fact that he’s not holding any cards in this any more. Before they knew about the missing pieces of the flaming sword, Lucifer alone was believed to be the one who could ignite it. Now, though, we see that God gave the last piece to Amenadiel, thus proving that he’s the favorite son (according to the story), and this takes control away from Lucifer.

It’s also a rough place to be after all of the work Lucifer has done to regain Chloe’s trust. Hiding evidence from her has the potential to blow up in his face, and if he loses Chloe, who will he have in his life?
