Still Star-Crossed series premiere: Watch online

Shondaland’s brand new show, Still Star-Crossed, premieres tonight on ABC and we’ve got all the details you need to watch the live stream online or on TV.
You’ve probably heard about those two silly kids Romeo and Juliet. You either read Shakespeare’s tragedy in high school, performed it in drama class or saw the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.
Basically, it’s about two young bloods who fall in love despite their feuding families and they both die because … it’s Shakespeare. He really liked his cheesy, tragic stuff. At the end, Romeo kills himself because he thought Juliet died, but she didn’t. Either way, almost every other thing in pop culture is derivative of Shakespeare’s original work. From West Side Story to High School Musical, everyone’s done a form of Romeo and Juliet.
And now, it’s Shondaland’s turn.
Based on the novel of the same name and produced under Shondaland, creator Heather Mitchell (a veteran writer for the production company) wants to tell the story of what happens after Romeo and Juliet.
So let’s check out the synopsis of the first episode, “In Fair Verona, Where We Lay Our Scene,” courtesy of TV Guide:
"The premiere of the drama about the Montagues and Capulets following the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet. First up: the rivaly between the families escalates; and a new royal takes the throne and struggles to determine what is best for his city."
I mean, it sounds pretty straightforward enough. Plus, we know the show will mix modern styles with period clothing and colorblind casting, then completely do away with ol’ Shakey’s iconic yet terribly annoying prose.
Admittedly, I haven’t been overwhelmed by the trailers so far. But here it is again for anyone who missed them all during TGIT:
