That hat LeBron James keeps wearing will probably destroy your budget

On more than one occasion during the NBA Playoffs, LeBron James has been seen wearing some sort of mystery hat at postgame press conferences, and now it can be all yours too because we know exactly where to can find it.

Critics can crush LaVar Ball all day long for the prices of Big Baller Brand sneakers and flip flops, and rightfully so, but let’s not forget that when stars like LeBron James wear something as simple as a baseball cap to a postgame presser, fans want to know where they can get one too.

It just kinda sucks when they eventually learn the price.

Now, that’s not to say when we see a player sitting at the podium wearing a red, diamond-studded leather jacket that people frantically search for one of their very own.

But a hat is a hat, especially something as simple as a baseball hat with literally nothing on it.

And since LeBron appears to love these blank hats so freakin’ much that he’s even willing to break the sacred code and wear one in lieu of the official “2017 NBA Finals” hat, it’s safe to say King James fanatics probably want one too.

That’s where things change a bit, probably because said baseball hat is not a baseball at all, but rather a handmade “Optimo” by Los Angeles-based designer Gladys Tamez.

Specifically, a handmade hat “using a blend of Western and European traditional artisanal millinery techniques” that goes for a cool $425.

Obviously.

Sorry, but you are no longer in Lids or browsing FansEdge for a $35 Cavs hat, you are instead forking over $425 for a felt velour hat with a “sculptural crown.”

So if the Witness Protection look is something you seek — because that’s basically what this is — then you gotta dig deep and perhaps skip a car payment.

Though if you’re looking for the same style but with a little more vibrance, it does come in three other colors: Taupe, Navy and Medium Grey.

However, the shipping is most certainly not free. Trust me, I checked by almost checking out.

The good news? Places like Lids offer pleeeeeeenty of blank hats in an array of colors for as little as $21.99!
