Fans of Jennifer Lopez will want to tune into NBC’s World of Dance, which is the singer, actress and dancer’s latest TV project where she and several superstar friends search for the best dance act in the country.
World of Dance features Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Dancing with the Stars veteran Derek Hough as the trio of judges, with dancer-actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum as both host and mentor to the contestants. It is a TV extension of the international dance brand World of Dance (hence the name).
It’s also the latest business venture between Jennifer Lopez and NBC. Lopez not only judges the series but serves as its executive producer. The network also hired Lopez to star in its next live musical Bye Bye Birdie, and she stars in and produces the crime drama Shades of Blue, which was renewed for a third season this month despite average ratings. Will Jennifer Lopez’s star power make the World of Dance premiere a hit?

"In “The Qualifiers” round 1, the world’s elite dance acts from all ages and dance genres enter the “World Of Dance” arena to face off in the challenge of a lifetime. The acts have one chance to showcase their artistry, precision and athleticism in order to move forward in the competition and ultimately win a grand prize of $1 million dollars."
