With WWE Extreme Rules just a few days away, weāll take a look at the entire match card and see what is the set to be the best match of the night in our full match rankings.
WWE is set to kick off the month of June with Extreme Rules, aĀ RAW-centric pay-per-view that features six matches on the main card, including a Fatal Five-Way match for the No. 1 contenderās spot to Brock Lesnarās WWE Universal Championship.
RAWās five biggest stars on the roster ā Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe ā will all compete in the same match to see who will face Lesnar in July at WWEās newest pay-per-view event, Great Balls of Fire. (Stop laughing for a second. This is a real thing thatās totally going to happen.)
Along with the big main event, Dean Ambrose will defend the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz with the stipulation that if Ambrose gets disqualified like he did a few weeks prior against Miz, he will lose the title.
Thereās plenty more to get to with this Extreme Rules card, so letās rank each of the matches by their intrigue, shall we?
No. 6: Sasha Banks and Rich Swann vs. Alicia Fox and Noam Dar in a mixed tag team match
Iām probably in the minority here, but I love the tag team of formerĀ RAWĀ Womenās Champion Sasha Banks and former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann. Itās been basically thrown together out of nowhere, but these two together were great on the go-home edition ofĀ RAWĀ this past Monday night in South Carolina.
On the other side of the coin, Alicia Fox is wonderful. Sheās beautiful, sheās getting more TV time other than just yelling at cruiserweights (which, please hurry back, Cedric Alexander) and her relationship with Noam Dar is so weird that itās fantastic.
The downside to this match is that they probably wonāt get too much time (like in recent weeks onĀ RAW) and really, this match just got thrown together this past Tuesday. This is basically an appetizer for Sasha before her big summer plans come about on the road to SummerSlam, and as for the other three, they could be here on Sunday and gone tomorrow. The intrigue for this encounter is low.
