Steph Curry showcased the new Curry 4 while warming up before Game 1 of the NBA Finals, and Twitter actually didn’t rip the new footwear to shreds for once.

Steph Curry has received plenty of slack for some of his past shoe releases with Under Armour, but he actually seems to have found himself a winner with the brand new Curry 4.

Curry and his shoe brand were ripped apart almost as bad as Lonzo Ball’s Z02 shoe for Under Armour’s release of the Curry 3, with many saying it looked like a shoe their dad would wear. Apparently Curry took exception to the comments, and actually came up with a new look for his next shoe that turned heads in a good way.

While warming up before Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Curry rocked the new Curry 4 with a white and gold colorway, and fans definiltey took notice.

The shoe will be released in both mid-cut and high-top forms in the fall, and Under Armour took the big stage of the Finals to have Curry showcase the new shoe as he warmed up.

Twitter was actually pretty positive about the shoe, mainly because of the surprise that the brand could actually think of something that wasn’t awful, for once. To show you just the nice thoughts people had about the shoe, here are some of the best thoughts on Twitter to the release:

The shoe is only a small storyline to the magic that’s going to start on Thursday night, as Game 1 of the NBA Finals finally tips off after making fans wait seemingly forever.

Next: Every NBA team's greatest playoff moment

The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers will battle for the third straight season on the league’s biggest stage, with Kevin Durant adding a new piece to the rivalry. For now, we can enjoy the refreshing pace from the usually lackluster Under Armour releases.
