Should the Warriors be concerned that everyone’s picking them to win?

The Warriors are the prohibitive favorites in the 2017 NBA Finals, just as they were in 2016 and 2015. This year they aren’t coming off a record 73 win regular season, but they did add a former MVP in Kevin Durant. Most analysts are picking them to win for that reason, which means they should be worried, right? After all, Stephen A. Smith gave them his kiss of death.

Golden State struggled in close games this season, going 4-6 when the final score was within five points. They were 0-3 in overtime games. And now all the pressure is on them. Couldn’t lack of continuity and experience with Durant and Stephen Curry in clutch situations be costly? Has everyone just agreed that Steve Kerr’s absence will actually have no effect? And is no one worried that Andre Iguodala can’t hit a shot??

Well, to explain why Warriors are still ABSOLUTELY going to win, Sam Esfandiari (@samesfandiari) joins for a new episode of Fastbreak Breakfast. Sam is a contributor to Warriors World and the host of the Light Years Podcast. Shouldn’t there be more concern among the Golden State faithful? After arguably underperforming in the last two NBA Finals, what makes this year any different?
