Trolling may not be the best move after a big loss in the NBA Finals, but it didn’t stop this Cavaliers fan from tricking a local Bay Area television station

The NBA Finals provides a big stage for some serious trolls, as was evident early before Game 1 last night, but none may be better than this Cleveland Cavaliers fan going on a Bay Area TV station.

KTVU, the local FOX affiliate for the Bay Area, was just trying to get a fan reaction from someone rooting for the hometown Golden State Warriors after their big 113-91 win over the Cavaliers in Game 1 Thursday night. Enter this epic Cavaliers fan troll.

The fan went full heel on the camera crew, as he faked them out with a Warriors shirt over a LeBron James jersey, and revealed his true fandom halfway through the interview.

Warriors fans in the area weren’t pleased about the move, as they quickly stepped in front of the fan with their Golden State garb to make up for the LeBron air time. It was too little, too late, however, as the fan had already put the steel chair in the TV station’s back.

While it may seem like a bad move to troll after your team loses Game 1 by 22 points, especially on the road, it may pay off in the end.

LeBron is apparently notorious for his NBA Finals Game 1 losses, as he is a whopping 1-7 in his career. He has three rings to show for it, which obviously isn’t the best ratio out of eight appearances, but there’s still a glimmer of hope for this fan.

Until the Cavaliers are officially out of it, this fan has every right to go out and do whatever trolling he wants. Especially if Cleveland manages to go down 3-1 in the series again.
