Jim Harbaugh, head coach at Michigan, has done just about everything from coaching to delivering calves. Now he’s designing their alternate uniforms.

What else does Jim Harbaugh need to do? He coaches football at one of the most prestigious universities in the entire nation and is the most popular person in Michigan. Not only is he designing plays for Saturdays, he even gave birth to a calf recently.

What’s he up to now? Oh nothing, just the designing the alternate uniforms that Michigan will wear this upcoming season. During a satellite camp in Ohio — of all places — Harbaugh confirmed this to the reporters.

"We talked about it (with Nike) and when we first signed up with Nike we said that’s something we’d be interested in, they were interested in it. It’s been designed. (They’ll be used) at least once this year. I don’t know, I think some people like the element of surprise. I don’t know if I’m at liberty to say which game. But I know which game it’s going to be. I don’t want to steal someone else’s thunder."

Wow. If Harbaugh designed these uniforms, I can already imagine what people are thinking. It’s probably Navy tops, with Khaki bottoms, like his usual get-up. I mean what else does Harbaugh wear? Michigan picked their head guy to design Michigan’s outfits for this season, when he really only wears one thing consistently.

Michigan hasn’t worn an alternate uniform since the 2014 season, when it was a commonality under then coach Brady Hoke.

It doesn’t matter to the Michigan fans what uniforms their team wears as long as they bring home a Natty. That’s all that should be on the minds of Jim Harbaugh, as the team has barely missed the College Football Playoff both years under his watch.

Michigan has high expectations to reach the top-4 this season, so let’s see if new alternate uniforms designed by their head coach is the key to their success.
